My sweet mark & evan. I designed this cast of characters for a half-hour animated comedy pitched to tbs, syfy, and fx. led a team of 5 illustrators to come up with concept sketches to guide the final look.
Early sketches
My team and I started this process by sending rough sketches and mood boards to our illustrators at 3DAR. We used a combo of drawings and references to other cartoons for both the characters and the world they lived in.
For fuller context: The show was about two misguided but well-meaning immortal billionaires (lol) who live 100 years in the future and are on a quest to save our ravaged world. The tone of the show was satirical and tongue-in-cheek; heavy influence from Archer and Rick & Morty.
